Car catches fire on westbound Bay Bridge, creating traffic jam

Westbound Interstate 80 on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge fully reopened just before noon Tuesday after lanes were closed due to car fire, the California Highway Patrol said. CHP spokesperson Mark Andrews said the fire was first reported west of Treasure Island at 10:43 a.m. "The car had unknown mechanical issues," Andrews said.
