SF police to crack down on speeding, ramp up traffic enforcement after historic lows

Amid a public outcry to make San Francisco’s streets safer, the San Francisco Police Department promised at a Board of Supervisors hearing on Thursday to begin cracking down on unsafe drivers. Commander Nicole Jones, who supervises SFPD’s transportation division, presented a plan at the meeting that detailed how the department will step up efforts to enforce traffic laws, specifically speeding.
