California company once worth $2.3 billion lays off hundreds more workers

Cue Health, a San Diego-based medical tech company, announced Wednesday that it’s laying off about half of its already-sharply shrunken workforce. The 230-worker layoff round continues a brutal trend at Cue, whose COVID-19 tests were used by Google, the NBA and the Department of Defense during the pandemic.
