HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The public is advised to stay out of waters surrounding popular Wāwāmalu, also known as Sandy Beach. The DOH said that partially treated sewage was released due to a power outage at the plant. The area fronting the East Honolulu Wastewater Treatment Plant outfall is affected until the advisory is canceled. Read this story
