Tacoma major fought ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ Now, she’s telling in new book
thenewstribune -

Tacoma native Maj. Margaret Witt was kicked out of the Air Force in 2009 for being a lesbian. Her subsequent court battles helped end the Clinton era “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that was responsible for more than 13,000 military service members losing their jobs. Witt has a new book out, “Tell,” about her life.
