San Francisco unveils $2.5 million plan for free outdoor concerts

Spring is in bloom, and San Francisco’s flowers — and sound systems — are coming back to life. On Monday, Mayor London Breed’s office announced SF Live, a series of free outdoor concerts running from May through October. In the coming months, bursts of blues, brass and bass are set to shake subwoofers at parks and plazas across the city, including Union Square, Civic Center Plaza and Crane Cove Park.
