Aintree officials join forces with police to beef up security for the Grand National despite animal rights protestors saying they have no plans to disrupt the race

Last year's race was delayed for 15 minutes and more than 100 people arrested. Protestors scaled perimeter fencing and attempted to glue themselves to fences. Aintree security are planning for 'all eventualities' to ensure smooth-running
