Angler breaks 43-year-old record after reeling in large perch in Lake Michigan

An Indiana angler made state history after catching a relatively-heavy yellow perch last month. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (Indiana DNR) made a Facebook post about the catch on May 1. The fisherman, Blas Lars, threw his tackle in Lake Michigan before he caught the record-breaking fish.
