Popular Thai party leader charged with sedition

The leader of a popular new party that has positioned itself as a progressive opponent to Thailand's military government was charged with sedition on Saturday, the latest legal action lodged against the billionaire since contested elections in March.

It is the second criminal case to be filed by the military junta against 40-year-old Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit since he formed the youth-backed Future Forward Party (FFP) last year.
