Shares of Medtronic PLC dropped 1.2% toward an eight-month low in premarket trading Tuesday, after the medical technology company beat fiscal second-quarter profit expectations but missed on revenue, citing the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic resurgence and healthcare staffing challenges on medical procedure volumes.
