Federal prosecutors in Michigan have charged a man with sending a death threat after he sent an email to the lawyer representing the Ukraine whistleblower in November 2019, according to court records.
The email said "those that represent traitors shall meet the same fate" of "miserable deaths" and was sent the day after a President Donald Trump excoriated the attorney, Mark Zaid, at a rally.
The felony charge carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.
