Cal Poly student dies while hiking at Big Sur waterfall

A Cal Poly student known for his exuberant attitude and love of the outdoors died while hiking at a Big Sur waterfall, school officials confirmed. Kenneth Taylor, 21, departed for a hike to Salmon Creek Falls in Monterey County's Silver Peak Wilderness on April 6. When Taylor failed to return, he was reported missing. Due to the road slip-out on Highway 1, Monterey County sheriff's deputies requested that officers from the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office look for Taylor. His body was found that...
