Proposal to alter section of SF's Great Highway goes to full Board of Supervisors

After more than a decade of planning, a portion of San Francisco’s Great Highway could be repurposed. Officials from the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Commissions are proposing that two-thirds of a mile of the Great Highway, from Sloat Boulevard to Skyline Boulevard, be closed to cars and replaced with sand to allow a “multi-use trail,” according to the project proposal.
