Dan Crenshaw shuts down NYT writer who took a cheap shot at him over the 9/11 victims fund

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) shut down a New York Times writer who tried to attack him over an alleged lack of support for 9/11 victims Tuesday.

The writer, Wajahat Ali, was quickly corrected and forced to delete his original tweet and apologize for what turned out to be totally false information.

"Anytime a Republican says they are 'patriots' ask them if they voted to fund the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund," Ali wrote on Twitter, in response to a clip of Jon Stewart bemoaning the low attendance...
