I bought my $1 million, 30-year term life insurance policy before I had kids, knowing that life insurance costs typically get higher as you age.

Even if you don't have dependents today, signing up for life insurance sooner rather than later can save you hundreds of dollars per year on premiums compared to waiting.

You aren't getting any younger, so even if you don't have kids yet, it's probably the best — read: cheapest — time to get life insurance.
