1985’s Clue has long been the gold standard for movies based on board games. While the toxic thinking that led to the subgenre has added a handful of worthy titles to the game closet, most probably think of Battleship, which sunk the genre back in 2012. Very few end up as good as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves or Ouija: Origin Of Evil, and while there is a board game version of Jumanji, those movies are based on a book.
