Two men have confessed to stealing, and then returning, a painting by Gustav Klimt in a bizarre twist to one of Italy’s most mysterious cases of stolen art.
Experts confirmed on Friday the authenticity of Portrait of a Lady, which was found concealed in a wall of the Ricci Oddi modern art gallery, the same gallery in Piacenza from which it went missing almost 23 years ago. Continue reading
