There's growing evidence that COVID-19 is being spread by people who have it but don't show symptoms.

Experts don't know exactly how much spread is caused by asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic patients, but there are hints that it is a major driver of the pandemic, according to infectious-disease researcher Monica Gandhi.
