Missouri lawmakers investigate Jackson County property tax assessments

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jackson County’s property assessments are attracting the attention of state lawmakers. A special committee overseeing local taxation is hearing testimony from the public Monday at the Metropolitan Community College.
