Earthquake north of Stanton felt in Midland, Texas

The largest earthquake in the region this year happened Wednesday, April 10 about 13 miles north of Stanton, and the tremors were felt in Midland. According to the United States Geological Survey, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded, making it approximately the 75th in the area this year. It was also the strongest earthquake recorded this year, with the second largest being a 3.8 magnitude event in Los Ybanez in early March.
