The 61,396-gross-ton, 1,432-guest Zaandam is operated by Holland America Line. Completed in 2000, it is a structural twin of the Volendam of 1999 and part of the company’s R Class, which are enlarged and modified versions of the Statendam platform of ships first introduced in 1992.
