Sumit Nagal of India won his first ever ATP Masters 1000 series match when he defeated Matteo Arnaldi of Italy in three sets, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 at the Monte Carlo Masters. The 26 year old Nagal, ranked world No 93 had to win two qualifying matches to earn a spot in the main round at Monte Carlo.
