Sunderland have paid tribute to club legend Charlie Hurley after his sad passing. It was announced on Thursday morning that Hurley had died at the age of 87 with Sunderland stating they were “deeply saddened to learn of the passing.” Born in Cork but raised in London from the age of seven; Hurley made 402 league appearances for Sunderland between 1957 and 1969 and is widely regarded as one of the club’s greatest-ever players.
