Huge crackdown on parking in San Francisco is about to begin

San Francisco officials acknowledge that traffic-related injuries and fatalities are far too common. And now they believe a crackdown on drivers parking illegally is one way to make the city’s streets safer. At Tuesday’s San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency meeting, SFMTA director Jeffrey Tumlin announced a plan to massively increase the number of citations that officers issue starting this month.
