Edinburgh trains hit by railway closure caused by sinkhole under tracks at Caldercruix

A large sinkhole under railway tracks at Caldercruix near Airdrie is impacting on ScotRail services between Helensburgh Central and Edinburgh Waverley. The sinkhole was discovered by track engineers on Sunday, April 21 and the line has been closed to allow investigation work to be undertaken.
