Voters in Vermilion Parish rejected two renewals on Saturday’s ballot, while three others passed. A parish-wide proposition, a 3.26 mill renewal, failed with 52% (1,106) voting against it. Support for the proposition finished with 48% (1,003 votes). The renewal would have collected an estimated $1,106,600 for an entire year for a period of 10 years to maintain public roads and highways in the parish.
