Build-A-Bear shares slide premarket despite earnings beat, special dividend and raised guidance

Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. shares slid 6% in premarket trade Wednesday, even after the company said it generated record revenue in the third quarter, declared a special dividend, authorized up to $25 million in share buybacks and raised its full-year guidance. The St. Louis-based company posted net income of $5.9 million, or 36 cents a share, for the third quarter, up from $1.7 million, or 11 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.
