When I reminded the promoter of this, they said “He’s not been coming much in the past year, he’s probably too busy.” And, of course, last weekend, he was very busy indeed, desperately trying to find ways in which he could stay in his job. In the end, he walked. He was refreshingly honest, although somewhat naive, in his self-appraisal of how he had handled the situation.
