Almost 3000 Brits have been affected by the 100 day cough since the start of 2024, and cases continue to spike. A total of 1,319 cases were confirmed in March, 918 in February and 556 in January, bringing the total number of cases in 2024 to 2,793. Most whooping cough cases (50.8%) were among ages 15 and over who generally get a mild illness, and the highest rates were among babies under 3 months of age.
