Kelly Slater’s long career appears to be ending after the 52-year-old – widely acknowledged as the greatest surfer – missed the World Surf League’s mid-season cut at Margaret River. Missing the cut means he has not qualified for the rest of the 2024 Championship Tour, as well as the start of next year's.
